Enterprises will finally know who and what holds authority across complex identity environments
Identiverse, Las Vegas — [June 15, 2026] — Gathid today announced the launch of Enterprise Authority Assurance, a new identity security capability purpose-built to help organizations understand, measure and control the authority that actually exists across their enterprise identity stack, regardless of how many platforms are already deployed.
The launch comes as security and identity leaders gather at Identiverse 2026 in Las Vegas, where Gathid will demonstrate how Enterprise Authority Assurance helps organizations close the gap between identity policy and authority reality.
Traditional identity platforms play an essential role in managing users, provisioning access, enforcing authentication and supporting governance. However, in complex enterprise environments, the authority an identity actually holds is often shaped by more than direct access permissions. Group inheritance, application roles, service identities, credentials, delegated administration and cross-system integrations can combine to create authority structures that are difficult to see through any single platform.
“Identity tools have done exactly what they were built to do: manage policy, provision accounts and enforce authentication,” said Peter Hill, CEO of Gathid. “But enterprises now need to answer a different question: who and what actually holds authority across the business right now, and does that match what we intended?”
Enterprise Authority Assurance addresses this gap by creating a daily model of authority across human and non-human identities, roles, groups, credentials, systems and assets. This helps organizations identify where authority accumulates, how it propagates across systems, which authority pathways exist and where structural identity risk is concentrated.
The need for this capability is becoming more urgent as enterprise environments become more complex. Legacy infrastructure often carries years of accumulated authority drift from role changes, acquisitions, integrations and system growth. AI agents are introducing new non-human identities with executable authority across systems. Meanwhile, operational technology and air-gapped environments can contain authority structures that remain difficult for security teams to see and assess.
“Authority is not simply a list of permissions,” Hill said. “It is a network of relationships. A user, service account or AI agent may appear low risk in one system, but when its roles, credentials and delegated access are evaluated together, the true authority picture can look very different.”
Gathid’s Enterprise Authority Assurance platform connects via read-only adaptors and creates a complete authority model across cloud, SaaS, on-premises, operational technology and physical access environments. The platform helps surface authority concentration, escalation pathways, Segregation of Duties violations, toxic combinations and authority drift.
Gathid is designed to work alongside existing identity investments, including identity governance, privileged access, provisioning, service management and security platforms.
“We are not here to replace the identity stack enterprises have spent decades building,” Hill said. “IAM, IGA and PAM platforms remain essential. What they were not built to do is model the full structure of authority that emerges after all of those systems interact. Enterprise Authority Assurance completes that picture.”
Gathid is presenting at Identiverse 2026 in Las Vegas, and offering qualified enterprises a 30-minute demonstration that includes a structural risk finding from their own environment. To arrange a demonstration at Identiverse visit us at Booth SU10 or contact ask@gathid.com.
